Senior Geologist - Offshore Operations

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a seasoned Senior Geologist specializing in offshore operations to join their remote-first team. This role is crucial for the identification, evaluation, and development of new hydrocarbon prospects in deep-water environments. You will be responsible for integrating multidisciplinary datasets, including seismic, well, and production data, to build robust geological models that underpin exploration and development decisions. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with international teams, providing critical geological insights to support strategic asset acquisition and portfolio management, driving the company's growth in the exploration sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret complex 3D seismic data to identify and map potential hydrocarbon reservoirs.
• Develop and validate detailed geological models , including structural and stratigraphic interpretations.
• Integrate well log, core, and production data to calibrate models and assess reservoir potential.
• Conduct risk and uncertainty assessments for exploration prospects.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, maps, and presentations for exploration strategy meetings.
• Collaborate virtually with exploration teams, reservoir engineers, and geophysicists globally.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related earth science discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in exploration geology, with a strong focus on offshore environments .
• Demonstrated expertise in seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom).
• Proven ability to build and validate complex subsurface models in a remote setting.
• Excellent analytical skills and a thorough understanding of basin analysis and petroleum systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective remote teamwork.
