Leisure Centre Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for an energetic and experienced Leisure Centre Manager to lead operations at their facility in Bloemfontein . This crucial role involves overseeing all aspects of the leisure centre, including recreational programs, staff management, customer service, and financial performance, to ensure a vibrant and welcoming environment for the community. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance member engagement, drive revenue, and maintain high standards of service and facility upkeep. This on-site position requires a dedicated leader with a passion for community recreation and a proven ability to manage diverse operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the leisure centre, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all members and guests.
• Lead, recruit, train, and supervise a team of centre staff, including front desk personnel, fitness instructors, and program facilitators.
• Develop, implement, and promote a diverse range of recreational programs and activities to meet community needs and interests.
• Oversee membership sales, renewals, and customer relationship management to foster retention and growth.
• Manage the centre's budget, control expenses, and identify opportunities for revenue generation.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations related to leisure facilities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in leisure centre management or a related role in the hospitality or recreation industry.
• Proven experience in staff leadership, program development, and budget management.
• Strong understanding of customer service principles and a passion for community engagement.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in membership management software and standard office applications.
• A commitment to working on-site in Bloemfontein.
