Child Psychologist - Randburg

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and compassionate Child Psychologist to join their multidisciplinary team in Randburg . This role offers a unique hybrid working arrangement, allowing for a blend of in-person client sessions and remote therapeutic support, consultations, and administrative duties. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of psychological and emotional issues in children and adolescents. This is an impactful opportunity to provide critical mental health services within the Gauteng community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for children and adolescents.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions, adapting to both in-person and remote formats.
• Collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to support the child's overall well‑being.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment summaries.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology (Clinical, Educational, or Child Psychology).
• Registered as a Psychologist with the relevant professional body.
• Proven experience in assessing and treating psychological disorders in children and adolescents.
• Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, play therapy).
• Excellent communication, empathy, and ethical practice skills, with experience in remote client engagement.
