Water Resources Engineer - Hybrid Role

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Water Resources Engineer to join their team, operating primarily from their office with occasional remote work flexibility. This role is vital for managing and protecting water resources, involving the design and implementation of systems for water supply, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and flood control. You will work on projects that ensure the sustainable use and quality of water resources for communities. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and a commitment to environmental stewardship, working within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage water and wastewater systems, including pipelines, treatment plants, and pump stations.
• Develop stormwater management plans and flood control strategies for urban and rural areas.
• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses to assess water resource availability and risks.
• Prepare technical reports, design documents, and environmental impact assessments.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and water quality standards.
• Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other engineers on water resource projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus on Water Resources.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in water resources engineering.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM) and GIS.
• Strong understanding of hydrology, fluid mechanics, and water quality principles.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical writing skills.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is preferred.
