About the Role

Our client, a prominent tourism operator based in Bloemfontein, is seeking an organized and communicative Tour Operator Coordinator to manage the logistical planning and execution of various tour packages. This role involves liaising with clients, guides, and service providers to ensure seamless and enriching travel experiences. You will be instrumental in coordinating itineraries, managing bookings, and providing support to ensure the smooth operation of tours originating from or passing through the Free State region. This hybrid role allows for strategic planning in the office and dynamic coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the logistics of tour operations, including bookings, transportation, and accommodation arrangements.
• Act as a primary point of contact for tour guides, clients, and external suppliers, providing timely information and support.
• Develop and maintain detailed tour itineraries and schedules, ensuring all elements are synchronized.
• Process payments, manage invoices, and maintain accurate financial records related to tour operations.
• Address and resolve any issues or emergencies that may arise during tours, ensuring guest safety and satisfaction.
• Contribute to the development of new tour products and packages based on market trends and client feedback.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tour operations, travel coordination, or a related role within the tourism industry .
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in booking systems, CRM software, and standard office applications.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of South African tourist destinations, especially within the Free State, is advantageous.
