Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join their finance department in Bloemfontein. This role is essential in supporting financial decision-making by providing robust analysis, insightful reporting, and accurate forecasting. You will work closely with various departments to understand business drivers, develop financial models, and prepare presentations for senior management. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.


• Prepare monthly financial performance reports, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods.


• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business strategies, new initiatives, and investment decisions.


• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future business performance.


• Collaborate with departmental managers to gather financial data and provide analytical support.


• Identify key trends, risks, and opportunities affecting financial performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.


• 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or FP&A roles.


• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas) and PowerPoint.


• Experience with financial planning software or ERP systems is a plus.


• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
