Senior UI/UX Designer - Product Focus

About the Role

Our client in Sandton is seeking an accomplished Senior UI/UX Designer with a strong focus on product development. This hybrid role demands a strategic thinker who can translate user needs and business objectives into intuitive and engaging digital experiences. You will lead the design process for key product features, from research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and user testing. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process for new product features, ensuring user-centered design principles are applied.


• Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to gather insights and inform design decisions.


• Create wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs for web and mobile applications.


• Develop and maintain a comprehensive design system to ensure consistency and scalability across products.


• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define product strategy and user experience.


• Mentor junior designers and champion design best practices within the product team.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a portfolio demonstrating successful product design outcomes.


• Expert proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.


• Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies, interaction design, and information architecture.


• Experience conducting user research, interviews, and usability testing.


• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to articulate design rationale effectively.
