Quality Control Analyst - Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Analyst to join their pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Richards Bay . You will be responsible for performing a variety of tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves working in a laboratory setting, utilizing analytical instrumentation, and meticulously documenting all findings. A portion of your responsibilities may be fulfilled remotely through data analysis and report generation, making this a hybrid opportunity designed for efficiency and quality assurance in pharmaceutical production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and physical analyses on raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products.
• Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and dissolution testers.
• Accurately document all test results, deviations, and observations in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
• Review and verify batch records and analytical data for compliance with specifications and procedures.
• Participate in method validation and transfer activities for new analytical procedures.
• Collaborate with production and R&D teams to investigate and resolve quality issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality Control or analytical laboratory role within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with common analytical techniques and laboratory instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC ).
• Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality control principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and analysis.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a laboratory environment.
