About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Remote Sommelier and Wine Educator to join their innovative online platform, serving clients globally from their operational hub in Stellenbosch . This role is dedicated to curating exceptional wine experiences, providing expert guidance to customers, and developing engaging educational content. You will be responsible for advising clients on wine selections, developing virtual tasting events, and creating informative wine education materials. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert wine recommendations and personalized pairings based on client preferences and dietary needs.
• Develop and deliver engaging virtual wine tastings and educational workshops.
• Create high-quality written and visual content about wines, regions, and pairings for the online platform.
• Manage online inventory and ensure accurate product descriptions and pricing.
• Stay updated on global wine trends, new releases, and emerging producers.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding wine selection, storage, and serving.
• Collaborate with marketing teams on wine-related campaigns and promotions.

Requirements

• Advanced Sommelier certification (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET Level 3 or higher) is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sommelier or in a related wine expert role.
• Exceptional knowledge of global wine regions, varietals, and production methods.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and content creation skills.
• Proficiency in using online communication tools and content management systems.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and deliver engaging virtual experiences.
