About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Industrial Engineer II to join their manufacturing operations based in Paarl . This is a site-specific role focused on implementing and refining production processes to enhance efficiency and product quality. You will work closely with production teams, quality control, and management to identify areas for improvement and implement practical, data-driven solutions. This position is perfect for an engineer with a solid foundation in industrial engineering principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement optimized production workflows, plant layouts, and material flow systems.
• Apply lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping to reduce waste.
• Conduct time studies and work sampling to establish standard operating procedures and productivity benchmarks.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and process technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality initiatives and problem resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 2-5 years of hands‑on experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing engineering role.
• Familiarity with lean principles and tools for process optimization.
• Proficiency in using data analysis software and engineering design tools.
• Strong observational skills and the ability to translate observations into actionable improvements.
• Effective communication skills for working with diverse teams on the factory floor.
