Senior Process Engineer - Mineral Processing

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize mineral processing circuits (e.g., comminution, flotation, leaching) to maximize metal recovery and throughput.
• Develop process simulation models to predict performance, identify bottlenecks, and test optimization strategies.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Design and oversee pilot plant studies and full-scale plant trials for new processes or equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, and operational guidelines.
• Collaborate with plant operations, engineering, and R&D teams to implement process improvements and new technologies.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mineral processing plant operations and process design.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., METSIM, JKSimFloat, HSC Chemistry).
• Strong understanding of metallurgical accounting, plant performance monitoring, and data analysis techniques.
• Experience with various mineral processing technologies and their application.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
