About the Role
Our client, a reputable firm in Randburg , is seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Advisor specializing in Property Law . This pivotal role involves managing a diverse portfolio of property transactions, including commercial and residential conveyancing, leasing, sectional title developments, and property finance. You will lead a team of legal professionals, oversee complex deals, and provide strategic legal counsel to clients in the real estate sector. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute complex commercial and residential property transactions, including transfers and bond registrations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases and sale agreements.
- Advise clients on sectional title schemes, homeowners' associations, and property development matters.
- Oversee due diligence investigations for property acquisitions.
- Manage property-related disputes and litigation.
- Provide expert legal opinions on property law matters.
Requirements
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court with a minimum of 8 years of dedicated experience in Property Law.
- Proven expertise in conveyancing, commercial leasing, and property development.
- Thorough knowledge of the relevant legislation, including the Deeds Registries Act and Sectional Titles Act.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and client management skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior legal staff.
- Strong understanding of property finance and related transactions.
