Remote HR Generalist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a self-motivated and experienced Remote HR Generalist to support their distributed workforce. This fully remote position will manage a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee onboarding, policy interpretation, and employee engagement initiatives, without the need to be physically present in an office in Stellenbosch. You will be a key point of contact for employees seeking HR support and will play an instrumental role in fostering a cohesive and productive remote work environment. This role requires strong digital communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for various roles within the company, utilizing online platforms.
• Facilitate virtual onboarding for new employees, ensuring a seamless integration experience.
• Provide remote HR support and guidance to employees and managers via digital channels.
• Develop and update HR policies and employee handbooks, ensuring relevance for a remote workforce.
• Contribute to employee engagement strategies and initiatives tailored for remote teams.
• Maintain accurate and confidential HR records within the HRIS system.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, with a significant portion in a remote or hybrid capacity.
• Proficiency in various HRIS platforms and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Slack).
• Strong understanding of South African labor law and best practices for remote employment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for remote interaction.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high levels of productivity from a home office.
