HVAC Technician - Commercial Installations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join their installation and service team in Richards Bay . This role is crucial for delivering high-quality heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions for commercial clients. You will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and excellent customer service abilities, making a significant contribution to the comfort and operational efficiency of commercial spaces throughout the KwaZulu-Natal region.

Key Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC systems , including ductwork, refrigeration components, and control systems, according to design specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and tune-ups on commercial HVAC equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and prevent breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, utilizing appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure all installations and repairs comply with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Provide clear and concise explanations of services performed to clients and building managers.
• Manage job materials, tools, and equipment efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician with a strong background in commercial installations.
• Technical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, air distribution, and control systems.
• Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Relevant trade certification or qualification in HVAC/Refrigeration.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
• Valid driver's license and a commitment to safe work practices.
