About the Role

Our client, a reputable auto body shop in Port Elizabeth , is seeking a skilled Automotive Body Repair Technician to join their dedicated team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition, focusing on structural integrity, panel repair, and cosmetic finish. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive restoration, excellent craftsmanship, and a commitment to quality work. You will work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, utilizing modern repair techniques and equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Repair and replace damaged vehicle body panels, including doors, fenders, hoods, and bumpers.
• Perform structural repairs using frame straightening and welding equipment.
• Conduct dent removal, metal finishing, and surface preparation for painting.
• Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard, meeting manufacturer specifications and customer expectations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper use and care of tools and equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Body Repair Technician or panel beater.
• Proficiency in various repair techniques, including MIG/TIG welding, metalwork, and use of body fillers.
• Experience with vehicle frame straightening equipment and techniques.
• Knowledge of different vehicle materials (steel, aluminum, composites) and repair methods.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
