Industrial Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Engineer to join their operations team in Vereeniging . This role focuses on the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems within an industrial manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of all electrical equipment and processes. This includes troubleshooting complex issues, implementing upgrades, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial automation, power distribution, and control systems, and be adept at working in a demanding production setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems and control solutions for manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues with machinery, PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and performance evaluations of electrical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Oversee electrical installation projects, including coordination with contractors and internal teams.
• Ensure all electrical installations and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company standards.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electrical drawings, manuals, and maintenance logs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial electrical engineering role.
• Proficiency in industrial automation , including PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, motor control, and electrical safety standards.
• Experience with electrical design software and troubleshooting tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Vereeniging .
