Remote BIM Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Remote BIM Coordinator to join their expanding team, supporting projects nationwide, including those in Klerksdorp . In this fully remote position, you will be instrumental in managing and implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across various construction projects. You will ensure the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of BIM models, facilitate collaboration among project stakeholders, and maintain adherence to BIM standards and protocols. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who excels in a virtual team environment and is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance construction project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for all projects.
• Coordinate and manage the creation, integration, and clash detection of BIM models from various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP).
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams using BIM platforms and tools.
• Conduct regular quality checks of BIM models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.
• Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and best practices.
• Generate reports on BIM progress, model quality, and coordination issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator or BIM Manager, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful project involvement.
• Expert proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and related platforms.
• Solid understanding of the construction lifecycle and the role of BIM in delivering projects.
• Experience with clash detection, model federation, and data management within BIM environments.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, suitable for a remote work setting.
• Familiarity with various international and South African BIM standards is a plus.
