About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished and visionary Head of Cleaning Operations to lead and redefine their sanitation services across multiple sites, including their key location in Mossel Bay . This executive role involves strategic planning, operational management, and the implementation of innovative cleaning solutions to ensure exceptional standards of hygiene and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing budgets, leading a large team, and ensuring full compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans for all cleaning and sanitation operations.
- Oversee the management of cleaning staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
- Implement and monitor adherence to high standards of cleanliness, health, and safety protocols across all facilities.
- Source, evaluate, and manage contracts with third-party cleaning service providers and suppliers.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes in cleaning and sanitation.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in managing large-scale cleaning and sanitation operations.
- Proven leadership experience with a strong ability to manage diverse teams.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Exceptional strategic planning, budgeting, and financial management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
