Industrial Maintenance Technician - Mechanical Focus

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician with a strong mechanical focus to join their team in Mossel Bay . This role is essential for maintaining the operational integrity of industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity. You will be responsible for performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and timely repairs on a variety of mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues, including gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Conduct welding, fabrication, and general repairs as needed to maintain equipment functionality.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, parts used, and time spent.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, with a strong mechanical background.
• Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, including knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems.
• Experience with welding, cutting, and fabrication tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and a proactive approach to risk management in Mossel Bay .
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
