About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly accomplished Senior Epigeneticist to join their pioneering research team in Randburg . This role is dedicated to exploring the intricate mechanisms of epigenetic regulation and their role in development, disease, and aging. You will lead research projects focused on understanding how environmental factors and genetic predispositions interact at the epigenetic level. The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, genomics, and bioinformatics, with a proven ability to design and execute complex experiments and interpret data to uncover novel biological insights. Key Responsibilities
- Design and conduct cutting-edge experiments to investigate epigenetic modifications (e.g., DNA methylation, histone modifications, non-coding RNAs).
- Utilize advanced techniques such as ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, and bisulfite sequencing for genome-wide analyses.
- Analyze and interpret large epigenomic datasets using bioinformatics tools and statistical methods.

Requirements
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Epigenetics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant post-doctoral research experience with a strong focus on epigenetics.
- Demonstrated expertise in experimental epigenetics techniques and molecular biology assays.
- Proficiency in analyzing epigenomic data using bioinformatics tools and statistical programming (e.g., R).
- Experience with next-generation sequencing data analysis pipelines.
