Assistant Early Childhood Educator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Assistant Early Childhood Educator to support the lead educators in their childcare center located in Bloemfontein . This role provides valuable hands-on experience in early childhood education, assisting in the implementation of daily activities and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for young children. The position offers a flexible hybrid schedule, balancing on-site responsibilities with remote administrative tasks or curriculum support, aligning with modern work practices and offering flexibility for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead educators in planning and executing daily learning activities, games, and routines.
• Provide direct care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and engagement.
• Support the maintenance of a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Help in preparing learning materials and documenting children's progress under the guidance of lead teachers.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive atmosphere.

Requirements

• A passion for working with young children and a foundational understanding of child development.
• Enrollment in or completion of a recognized Early Childhood Education qualification is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a childcare setting or volunteer work with children is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different learning styles and needs.
