Junior Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and diligent Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team in Vereeniging . This role offers an excellent foundation for a budding engineer to contribute to design, analysis, and testing activities under the guidance of experienced professionals. You will gain hands-on experience with various mechanical systems and processes, playing a key role in the development and improvement of our products. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems using 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Support senior engineers in conducting engineering analysis, simulations, and testing of mechanical designs.
• Participate in prototype building, testing, and data collection, documenting results accurately.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure designs are feasible and can be produced efficiently.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during the design and production phases.
• Contribute to technical documentation, reports, and design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Solid understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles (statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science).
• Basic proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
