Senior Automotive Parts Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Automotive Parts Specialist to manage their parts department in Port Elizabeth . This role is critical for ensuring the efficient operation of the workshop by managing inventory, sourcing high-quality parts, and providing expert advice to technicians and customers. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, negotiating with suppliers, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the parts department. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a deep understanding of automotive components to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain inventory of automotive parts, ensuring accuracy and optimal stock levels.
• Source and procure parts from various suppliers, negotiating favourable pricing and terms.
• Provide technical assistance to technicians regarding part identification and compatibility.
• Process customer orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely delivery or pickup.
• Implement and improve parts management systems and processes.
• Stay updated on new parts, product lines, and industry changes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Parts Specialist or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive components, systems, and brands.
• Proficiency in using parts management software and inventory systems.
• Excellent organizational and inventory control skills.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management abilities.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
