About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Remote Travel Consultant to join their thriving online travel agency, serving clients nationally from their home base. This role involves crafting personalized travel itineraries, booking flights, accommodations, and activities, and providing expert advice to clients looking to explore the world. You will leverage your expertise and excellent communication skills to create unforgettable travel experiences. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere within South Africa .

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, budget, and requirements.
• Research and recommend destinations, travel options, and activities tailored to individual client needs.
• Book flights, accommodations, car rentals, tours, and other travel services using GDS and various booking platforms.
• Provide expert advice on travel documentation, visas, insurance, and local customs.
• Handle booking modifications, cancellations, and resolve any travel-related issues promptly and efficiently.
• Stay updated on travel industry trends, new destinations, and supplier offerings to provide the best recommendations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Travel Agent or Travel Consultant, with a strong understanding of the travel industry.
• Proficiency in Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre.
• Excellent sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Strong research and problem-solving abilities to create unique and fulfilling travel plans.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a professional home office setup.
