About the Role
Our client is looking for a passionate and experienced Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom at their well-established early learning center in Welkom. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a stimulating curriculum that prepares young children for their transition to primary school. This role requires a creative and nurturing individual who can foster a love of learning and provide a safe, supportive environment for children aged 3-5. The successful candidate will be a key figure in developing the educational journey of young minds in the Free State, working collaboratively with parents and fellow educators to ensure optimal child development and well-being within a professional setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive preschool curriculum focusing on literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Assess children's progress through observation and appropriate assessment tools, providing feedback to parents.
- Manage classroom dynamics and guide children's behavior effectively and compassionately.
- Collaborate with parents to support their child's learning and development at home and in school.
- Plan and execute engaging educational activities, including arts, crafts, music, and physical play.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching preschool-aged children.
- Proficiency in curriculum development and assessment strategies for early learners.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of child protection and safety regulations.
