Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze insurance applications, assessing risks based on established underwriting guidelines.
• Determine policy terms, conditions, and premium rates for various insurance products.
• Utilize underwriting tools and data analytics to make informed risk selection decisions.
• Communicate with brokers, agents, and internal teams to gather necessary information and clarify policy details.
• Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and policy information in the system.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor offerings affecting underwriting practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in insurance underwriting , with a strong understanding of risk assessment principles.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, assess risk factors, and apply underwriting rules consistently.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
• Experience with underwriting software and systems is essential.
