About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and technically skilled Plant Operations Technician to join their operational team in Welkom . This role is vital for the day-to-day running and maintenance of our production plant. You will be responsible for operating and monitoring plant machinery, performing routine checks, and conducting minor repairs to ensure continuous and efficient production. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial processes, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment and machinery to ensure smooth and efficient production.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on plant equipment.
• Identify and report any operational issues, malfunctions, or safety concerns to the relevant supervisor.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) meticulously to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of plant operations and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plant Operations Technician or in a similar industrial operating role.
• Good understanding of industrial machinery and production processes .
• Ability to interpret basic technical manuals and operational instructions.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Must be physically fit and able to perform manual tasks as required.
