Cloud Solutions Architect - AWS/Azure

About the Role

Our client seeks a visionary Cloud Solutions Architect to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions. This hybrid role, based in Vereeniging , will involve collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into effective cloud architectures. You will be instrumental in guiding our client's cloud strategy, leveraging your deep expertise in major cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. The role requires a blend of technical acumen, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to drive cloud adoption and innovation within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud solutions on AWS and/or Azure.
• Develop comprehensive cloud migration strategies and roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies to meet business and technical requirements.
• Ensure security best practices, compliance, and cost optimization are integrated into cloud designs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud computing.
• Proven experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS and/or Azure.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud networking, compute, storage, and database services.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and automation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
