Industrial Automation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Industrial Automation Engineer to join their facility in Soweto . This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems that enhance production efficiency, safety, and reliability. You will work on cutting-edge automation technologies, troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems, and contribute to the modernization of our manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission industrial control systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA).
• Develop and implement automation strategies to improve production throughput and quality.
• Troubleshoot and repair automated machinery and production lines.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on automation equipment to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams on new automation projects and equipment upgrades.
• Ensure all automation systems comply with safety standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation or control systems engineering.
• Proficiency in programming various PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
• Strong understanding of robotics , servo systems, and industrial networking.
• Experience with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
