About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative team in Mossel Bay . This entry‑level position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands‑on experience in product development and mechanical design. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical components and systems. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of mechanical principles and a strong desire to learn and grow within a supportive engineering department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software.
• Support senior engineers in performing basic calculations and simulations for design validation.
• Help create and update technical documentation, including drawings and specifications.
• Participate in prototype building and testing activities.
• Learn and apply relevant engineering standards and best practices in daily tasks.
• Collaborate with team members on design reviews and problem‑solving sessions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• or a relevant technical diploma.
• Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD , SolidWorks).
• Understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles.
• Eagerness to learn and develop skills in design and analysis.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
