Lead Risk Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Lead Risk Manager to spearhead risk management initiatives for their Banking & Finance operations, operating in a fully remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive enterprise-wide risk management frameworks and policies.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize key risks, including credit, market, operational, and compliance risks.
• Design and oversee the execution of risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
• Lead and mentor a team of risk analysts and specialists, fostering their professional growth.
• Prepare risk reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management and the board.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices for risk management.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 10+ years of experience in risk management, with a significant portion in leadership roles within the financial services sector.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing ERM frameworks and risk appetite statements.
• Strong understanding of various risk types (credit, market, operational, liquidity, compliance) and their interdependencies.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
• Proficiency in risk management software and data analytics tools.
