About the Role
Our client is seeking an organized and enthusiastic Event Catering Coordinator to manage the logistical aspects of catering events in Nelspruit , working a hybrid schedule. This role is key to ensuring that all catering services are delivered seamlessly, from client consultation and menu selection to on-site execution and client follow-up. You will liaise between clients, the kitchen team, and service staff to guarantee exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with strong communication and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple events simultaneously and thriving in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all logistical details for catering events, including timelines, staffing, and equipment needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their catering arrangements.
- Work with clients to select menus and customize catering packages to suit their needs and budget.
- Liaise with the culinary team to ensure accurate preparation and timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Oversee on-site setup and service execution, ensuring high standards of presentation and guest satisfaction.
- Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback and ensure client retention.
Requirements
- Previous experience in event coordination, catering, or hospitality management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with menu planning and food service operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently in a hybrid work model.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules in Nelspruit .
