Production Supervisor - Food Manufacturing

About the Role

Our client, a leader in the FMCG sector specializing in food manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee operations at their plant in Nelspruit . This role is critical in ensuring that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards. You will be responsible for managing a production team, optimizing workflows, and troubleshooting any issues that arise on the production floor. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing and a passion for operational excellence in a fast-paced food production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Manage and motivate a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and output.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Collaborate with quality control, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• National Diploma in Production Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production supervision, preferably within FMCG food manufacturing .
• Proven ability to manage teams and drive production efficiency.
• Strong understanding of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and GMP.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance.
• Must be available to work shifts and be based in or willing to relocate to Nelspruit .
