Remote Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and forward-thinking Remote Production Planner to join their dynamic team, supporting manufacturing operations in the Nelspruit area. This role is fully remote, focusing on creating and managing detailed production schedules to meet demand while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing lead times. You will collaborate closely with production, inventory, and sales teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely order fulfillment. This position is perfect for an organized planner who thrives in a remote work environment and can effectively coordinate complex production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure adherence to schedules and address any deviations or potential issues.
• Manage material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components.
• Monitor production progress and provide regular updates on schedule performance to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service to provide accurate lead times and delivery estimates.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and implement improvements in planning processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Planner , Scheduler, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning principles, MRP systems, and supply chain management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
