About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Structural Engineer to join their dynamic design and engineering team based in Bloemfontein . You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and specification of structural elements for a variety of construction projects, ensuring integrity, safety, and compliance with all relevant building codes and standards. Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects using relevant software.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations for project documentation.
• Collaborate closely with architects and other engineers to ensure integrated and functional designs.
• Conduct site visits to inspect structural installations and resolve any on-site issues.
• Ensure all designs comply with national building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA or eligibility for registration.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering design .
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro).
• Strong understanding of material properties, construction methods, and building codes .
