About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geneticist to join their dynamic research team in Pretoria . Key Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments to investigate gene function, regulation, and variation.
• Analyze large-scale genomic and genetic datasets using bioinformatics tools and statistical methods.
• Develop and validate genetic assays and diagnostic tests.
• Interpret genetic findings and communicate them clearly to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
• Collaborate with clinicians and other researchers to integrate genetic insights into patient care and research programs.
• Stay current with advancements in genetics, genomics, and related fields.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant research experience, with a strong publication record.
• Expertise in human genetics, molecular genetics, and population genetics.
• Proficiency with bioinformatics tools and databases for genomic data analysis.
• Experience with various genetic technologies, including Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong communication abilities.
