About the Role

Our client is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistants to join their dynamic team in Mossel Bay . You will provide essential support during events, ensuring efficient service delivery and maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are customer-service oriented, and are eager to gain experience in the catering industry. You will assist with setup, serving, and cleanup, playing a key part in the success of various catered functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of catering equipment and service areas.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Replenish food and beverage stations as needed throughout events.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of service areas, ensuring high hygiene standards.
• Clear tables and remove used dishes, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests.
• Support the catering team with any other duties as required during events.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality or a customer-facing role is an advantage but not essential.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, in Mossel Bay .
