About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design process for various construction projects, from initial concept development to detailed construction documentation, in a remote capacity.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders via virtual meetings and digital communication tools to define project requirements and design objectives.
• Prepare high-quality architectural drawings, 3D models, renderings, and specifications using industry-standard software.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to integrate their systems seamlessly into the architectural design.
• Review contractor submittals and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) during the construction phase to address design-related queries.

Requirements

• Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Registered Professional Architect with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).
• Significant experience in architectural design, with a portfolio showcasing diverse construction projects.
• Proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering programs.
• Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and materials.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills for effective remote work.
