Child Development Specialist - Pediatric Focus

About the Role

Our client is looking for a compassionate and skilled Child Development Specialist with a strong pediatric focus to join their multidisciplinary team in Bloemfontein . This hybrid role involves providing direct assessment and intervention services to children with developmental delays or disabilities, as well as offering support and guidance to families. You will work collaboratively with therapists, educators, and medical professionals to create personalized care plans that foster optimal development and well-being. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive developmental assessments for infants and young children.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address specific developmental needs.
• Provide counseling and support to families, empowering them to support their child's development.
• Collaborate effectively with a team of professionals to ensure integrated and coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress reports.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Child Development, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience working directly with children with developmental concerns.
• Strong knowledge of developmental milestones and assessment tools.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, managing both in-person and remote client interactions.
