Aftercare Facilitator - School Age Children

About the Role

Our client is seeking a responsible and engaging Aftercare Facilitator to supervise and engage school-aged children in Mahikeng . You will provide a safe, structured, and fun environment for children after school hours, assisting with homework, organizing recreational activities, and ensuring their well-being until they are collected by parents. This role requires someone who can manage a group of children effectively, foster a positive atmosphere, and communicate openly with parents about their child's day, making it a valuable and enriching part of their school experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise school-aged children in a safe and engaging aftercare environment.
• Assist children with homework completion and provide academic support as needed.
• Organize and lead age-appropriate recreational activities, games, and crafts.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's participation and any concerns.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with school-aged children in an aftercare or similar setting.
• Ability to manage a group of children effectively and maintain discipline.
• Strong organizational and planning skills for activities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
