About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Remote Blockchain Engineer specializing in Decentralized Finance (DeFi) to join their globally distributed team. This position is a fully remote opportunity, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining sophisticated DeFi protocols, focusing on creating secure, efficient, and user-friendly financial applications on the blockchain. This role requires a deep understanding of smart contracts, tokenomics, and the broader DeFi ecosystem, along with a passion for innovation in the rapidly evolving world of digital finance. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy smart contracts for various DeFi applications (lending, borrowing, exchanges, etc.).
• Architect and implement scalable and secure blockchain solutions tailored for financial services.
• Integrate with various blockchain networks and protocols, ensuring seamless operation.
• Conduct thorough security audits and vulnerability assessments of smart contracts and protocols.
• Collaborate with product teams to define and refine DeFi product features and user experience.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations for DeFi applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in blockchain development, with a significant focus on DeFi protocols (2+ years).
• Expertise in Solidity and experience with major DeFi frameworks and tools.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, traditional finance, and DeFi concepts.
• Proficiency in smart contract security best practices and experience with security auditing tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a remote , asynchronous environment.
