About the Role

Our client is pioneering a new approach and is seeking a highly organized and adaptable Remote Logistics Coordinator and Driver for their operations, supporting the Welkom region from a remote setting. This unique role combines virtual coordination of logistics with occasional local driving duties as needed. You will be instrumental in planning, executing, and monitoring transport operations, ensuring efficiency and reliability while primarily working from home. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a remote work environment and possesses a comprehensive understanding of logistical processes and regional transport challenges in the Free State .

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily delivery schedules and routes for local drivers remotely.
• Utilize logistics software to track shipments, monitor driver performance, and optimize resource allocation.
• Handle communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve logistical issues.
• When required, perform local delivery and pickup tasks within the Welkom area, ensuring safe and timely transit of goods.
• Prepare and analyze reports on logistics operations, identifying areas for improvement.
• Maintain and update all relevant documentation and databases related to logistics activities.

Requirements

• Valid Code 10 driver's license with PDP.
• Proven experience in logistics coordination or dispatch, alongside professional driving experience.
• Proficiency in using logistics management software and standard office applications.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
• Strong understanding of the Welkom area's geography and transportation networks.
