About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Remote Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in Systems Design to join their globally distributed team, supporting operations in Centurion . This is a fully remote position where you will lead the conceptualization, design, and integration of complex mechanical systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring the functionality, reliability, and scalability of our cutting-edge products, interacting with international teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with a proven track record in complex system design and a passion for driving engineering excellence from a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of intricate mechanical systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Perform advanced FEA analysis, CFD simulations, and system-level performance modeling.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including schematics, BOMs , and technical specifications.
• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional engineering teams and external partners to define system requirements and integration strategies.
• Oversee prototype builds and testing protocols, providing remote technical support and analysis.
• Drive innovation by exploring and implementing novel design approaches and technologies in a remote-first environment.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical system design, with a strong focus on complex integrated systems.
• Expertise in FEA and CFD software and system-level modeling.
• Demonstrated experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools and processes.
• Exceptional remote collaboration and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
