Civil Engineer - Structural Design and Analysis

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Civil Engineer with a specialization in structural design and analysis to join their team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape . Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and other civil engineering structures using advanced software.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and structural assessments of existing facilities.
• Ensure all designs comply with the National Building Regulations and relevant structural codes in South Africa .
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and construction teams to deliver safe and efficient structural solutions.
• Review and approve shop drawings and construction methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr.Eng.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or similar, and AutoCAD .
• In-depth knowledge of concrete, steel, and masonry design principles.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
