About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and organized Stock Controller to manage inventory effectively for their retail operations in Port Elizabeth . This role is essential for ensuring accuracy in stock levels, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting efficient supply chain management. You will be responsible for tracking inventory, conducting regular audits, and implementing procedures to maintain optimal stock levels, thereby preventing stockouts and overstock situations. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of inventory management systems within the Eastern Cape retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records using the company's inventory management system.
• Conduct regular stock counts and cycle audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock, ensuring it matches purchase orders.
• Organize and manage warehouse or stockroom space for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Monitor stock levels and generate reports on inventory turnover, aging stock, and potential shortages.
• Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams to ensure adequate stock availability and manage stock replenishment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in inventory management , stock control, or warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Excel for data tracking.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to lift and move stock, and work in a physically demanding environment if required.
• A commitment to accuracy and efficiency in stock management within the Port Elizabeth retail sector.
