About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and innovative Data Scientist with a strong focus on machine learning to join their team in Soweto . This role is crucial for extracting actionable insights from complex datasets, building predictive models, and developing data-driven solutions that enhance business performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data and machine learning, contributing to strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models to address business challenges in areas such as prediction, classification, and optimization.
• Perform complex data analysis, data mining, and statistical modeling to uncover trends and insights.
• Clean, preprocess, and transform large, complex datasets for analysis and modeling.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to integrate ML models into production systems.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through visualizations and reports.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning, data science, and AI.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist , with a significant portion dedicated to machine learning .
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, experimental design, and data mining techniques.
• Experience with SQL and working with large datasets.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for uncovering insights from data.
