Local Delivery Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Local Delivery Specialist to join their team in Pretoria . This role is essential for ensuring that our client's products reach customers quickly and safely within the local area. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating delivery vehicles, managing delivery schedules, and providing outstanding service to clients. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong work ethic, excellent navigational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the company's reputation for prompt and dependable delivery services throughout the Pretoria region.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver goods and packages to customers in a timely and efficient manner, following planned routes.
• Conduct routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Load and unload delivery items, ensuring they are handled with care to prevent damage.
• Collect payments and obtain signatures from customers upon delivery, maintaining accurate delivery logs.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• Valid Code 10 driver's license with a valid PrDP.
• At least 3 years of experience in local delivery driving or a similar role.
• Good knowledge of Pretoria and surrounding suburban areas.
• Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting packages up to 20kg.
• Proven track record of safe driving and reliability.
• Strong communication skills and a polite, professional demeanor.
