Senior Visual Merchandiser - Retail
About the Role
Our client is seeking a creative and strategic Senior Visual Merchandiser to enhance the in-store presentation and customer experience for their retail locations in the Western Cape region. This role involves developing and implementing visually compelling displays that align with brand identity and drive sales. You will work closely with store teams and the marketing department to ensure cohesive brand messaging across all physical touchpoints, with occasional remote collaboration and planning. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for aesthetics, a strong understanding of retail trends, and the ability to translate creative concepts into impactful visual strategies. This position offers a blend of creative execution and strategic planning in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative visual merchandising strategies to maximize product appeal and drive sales.
- Create and maintain inspiring store layouts, window displays, and in-store signage.
- Collaborate with store managers and staff to ensure effective execution of merchandising plans.
- Stay updated on the latest retail trends , competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform merchandising decisions.
- Manage inventory of visual merchandising materials and props.
- Train store staff on visual merchandising standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser , preferably in a retail environment.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative and effective visual displays.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, color theory, and spatial arrangement.
- Proficiency with design software and knowledge of retail store layouts .
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to travel to different store locations as needed.
