About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Public Relations Manager to lead their communications efforts. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive PR strategies that enhance brand reputation, manage media relations, and drive engagement across various platforms. This role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of the media landscape and a proven track record of successful campaign management, working collaboratively with marketing, social media, and executive teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and public perception. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated public relations strategies and campaigns to achieve business objectives.
• Manage media relations, including pitching stories, responding to inquiries, and cultivating relationships with journalists and influencers.
• Craft compelling press releases, media kits, speeches, and other PR materials.
• Monitor media coverage and industry trends, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
• Oversee crisis communication planning and execution to protect brand reputation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and executing successful PR strategies, ideally with experience in remote team management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling and crafting persuasive content.
• Strong understanding of media relations, social media platforms, and digital PR techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a relevant field.
