About the Role

Our client, a leader in innovative telecommunications solutions, is seeking a strategic and technically astute Telecoms Solutions Architect to be based in their Sandton office. This role is critical in designing comprehensive and cutting-edge technology solutions that meet the complex needs of enterprise clients. You will work closely with sales, product development, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and cost-effective network and communication architectures, shaping the technological future for clients in the Gauteng financial hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of complex telecoms solutions for enterprise clients, including cloud, network, and unified communications.
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs and develop tailored technical proposals.
• Create detailed architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and solution documentation.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and platforms to enhance service offerings.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the solution lifecycle, from presales to implementation.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in telecoms and networking .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) as a Solutions Architect or Senior Network/Systems Engineer within the telecoms sector .
• Deep understanding of networking technologies (SD-WAN, TCP/IP, MPLS), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and communication systems (VoIP, UCaaS).
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Experience with security architectures and best practices is highly valued.
